This award was suggested by Ron Kral, initiated in 2017 and is named after Leo Cardillo. Leo has done yeoman's service to the Northern Virginia Bridge Community over the years. He was on the NVBA board as a member, VP and President. He initiated the Guaranteed Partner program at the unit game and sectionals and ran it for many years. He insisted on getting the NVBA finances in order by demanding a yearly audit of the books. He was way before his time insisting that the board look into and purchase a dealing machine for the unit game and sectionals. These are only a few of his many accomplishments. This award is to recognize others within unit 218 who unselfishly give of their time and talents to promote the game of bridge.
