Age 82, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2024 at her home in Arlington, Virginia.

Susan Cull Farrington was born on December 12, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland, but grew up in Salem, Ohio as the daughter of the late Evelyn Cull Farrington and George Ewing Farrington. She married Phillip Slattery on June 10, 1980.

She is survived by her late husband's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as her brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and grand-nieces/nephews.

Susan graduated high school from the Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in 1959 then earned a bachelors degree in Political Science in 1963 from Connecticut College. Over the next 30 years she worked in Human Resources within the US State Department, Patent Office, Labor Department and Census Bureau.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Slattery (2018); sister Anne Buta (2005); stepson Mathew Slattery (2014).

A gathering will be held at Jefferson Funeral Chapel, 5755 Castlewellan Dr., Alexandria, VA on Saturday February 10 from 12 p.m. until time of service at 1 p.m.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Funeral Chapel (5755 Castlewellan Dr, Alexandria, VA 22315).
